Image & Publications Gallery Associate

Forum Gallery is seeking a part-time Image & Publications Gallery Associate with responsibility for digital and print publications and media communications. Job includes artwork photography, press relations, image archives and working with graphic designer(s) and printers. The position requires a physical presence at the gallery two days a week, one of which must be Saturday, from 9:30-5:30pm. Additional hours are possible.
Candidates should possess strong technical abilities, as well as excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with artwork photography, digital image editing, social media platforms, and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite required. Knowledge of Filemaker Pro and Artbase a plus.
Candidate should be detail-oriented and prepared to multitask, be efficient and manage deadlines. The position requires an ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment. Two years’ experience working in a related setting is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Shoot, retouch, and edit artwork photography and prepare images for digital or print publication
- Draft, edit, and distribute digital communications and social media campaigns
- Coordinate production of printed materials, such as cards, advertisements and brochures; approve digital and physical proofs from designers and printers
- Maintain and update website exhibition pages with images and content as needed
- Manage digital image and press archive
- Assist with client presentations and provide general administrative support
Forum Gallery was established in 1961 and is a founding member of the Art Dealers’ Association of America.
Position is for immediate start.
